There were street parties, with people dancing, eating and drinking to mark the celebrations.
There were Union Jacks everywhere to my delight as a certified flag carrier.

This year marks fifty years since her death in 1962 at only age 36!

Marilyn made 29 films and took part in countless photo shoots.

An exhibition of her stunning dresses, and beautiful photographs--both old and never seen before, is taking place in London until 23rd May, at the Getty Image Gallery. Admission is free!

The London Marathon...2010

The London Marathon 2010...
The weather was beautiful and it was the Marathon's 30th annivesary.
More than 36,000 participated -- including Princess Beatrice and her friends. The group of 33 were sealed off by a bungee cord forming a human caterpillar and broke the world-record for the biggest number of runners tied together.
