I create stunning collages out of my glossies. I take after the creativity of "the Wiz," without all the uneccessary extra mess. Love the randomness and colours....I usually know how to make it work without anything overshining the rest of the scenary.
Having bought every issue of Real Living magazine since they first came out, I have a huge stack. Only yesterday I was trying to see if a pile of the with their coloured spines would work on our hall table. Other magzzines I only keep the issues/pages of interest to me but I can't bear to toss out my Real Living ones!! Love the idea you posted :)
Lol I should learn something from this post! I have no clue at times where my old magazines are!! This one looks pretty organized though...I wonder if I'd be able to do something like that!
Hi. New to your blog, this idea is such fun, better than piling them up in a desk drawer (what I am currently doing!) Off to explore more of your fabulous site!
Some great ideas by the other readers. I keep and file my in my office because I'm always searching back through them for writing, fashion or decor ideas. I did know a woman who sold her copies of magazines at her garage sale for 25 cents an issue. They were in great condition and a wonderful magazine, so why not? I bought waaaaaaay too many. A good idea if one wants to get read of their collection.
what a fabulous decorating idea...i love how organized they are. i'm afraid i don't use my magazines for decorating purposes...after i look at them i either lend them to a friend or recycle them.
I love making stacks too, and topping them off with a little display of some sort. Sometimes tho you just have to move a few on, and then I usually take them down to the medical centre, or dentists waiting rooms so others can enjoy them.
Love all the colors they bring!

ReplyDeleteHugs, andrea
It is an impressive collection. I like my favourite hardcover picture decorating and photography books on my coffee table.
ReplyDeleteOh when mine get out of control I pass them on to family and friends!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind sitting in the room pictured, reading all those mags :)
