The Royal Ascot 2009...














Quintessentially British...
'S' is for silly hats and style.

Celebrating the horse racegoers and HRM at the just ended Royal Ascot.
Outlandish, wild, wacky and stylish, would describe some of these but all put a big, big smile on my face. The catwalks did not disappoint either.

    So funny, I was just looking at the same hats in a magazine! I love Isabell Kristensen's "strawberries" hat and I think Erin O'Connor looks fabulous - as always. The marshmallow hat is just ridiculous!! Great post :)

    The hats are awesome but us regular folks would just look ridiculous....

    It's too bad that so much of fashion is throw-away and never gets to the realm of everyday people.

    Fun to look at, impractical in every way.

    always love seeing the fanciful hats that are brought out for ascot! not sure which is harder- coming up with an outfit for some of them, or how they were dreamed up in the first place!
